The Parental Problem

Last night I got to thinking that Joss Whedon and the writers for 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel' must have some serious issues with their parents.

Think about it..

Buffy: Parents divorced, father is AWOL. Mother later dies.

Xander: embarrassed by his parents, hardly seen or heard from.

Willow: Mother doesn't understand her, hardly seen.

Dawn: Never had parents, created from 'light'

Spike: Father AWOL, killed his own mother, who then tried to have sex with him..had to kill her 'again'.

Angel: Ate his whole family, claims they tasted like chicken

Cordeillia: Father convicted of tax fraud, goes to jail forever, mother AWOL

Wesley: Father constantly putting him down (Wesley even killed his own father for threatening Fred, though it turned out not to be him).

Connor: Parents are two vampires, mother killed herself just prior to being born, father...though a hero, fails to save him from years in a hell dimension.

Get the point? Thought that was interesting..anyways...ta!
