Shower-ing with Gifts

My fiance had her bridal shower this past weekend. Our families were there to giver her gifts, play games and eat food. All in all it looks like the ladies had fun, they made her wear a silly hat, answer questions about me (she got them mostly right) and other 'womany' things.



This whole shower thing got me thinking, how come guys don't do this type of thing with the groom? I mean, I wouldn't mind a bunch of dudes getting together, making me wear a silly hat and fake bouquet of flowers...giving me gifts for the home and eating finger sandwitches...actually..who am I kidding..I hate crowds, bouquets and finger sandwitches! Besiges..the term 'Groom-Shower' just doesn't seem right...sounds like some sanitary applicator you can buy at Pharmaprix.

So...for the record, I hate people..and shop at Pharmaprix..what was I talking about again?
