My Big Fat Geek Wedding

Click for more images

I got married last Saturday!

On what must have been the hottest day in the history of the universe Kathy and I tied the knot at the lovely St-Genevieve Parish in St-Genevieve. We then raced to Old-Montreal and snapped some really nice photos (I hope) in some of the oldest and most interesting parts of the old city. Then it was off to the hall in Lasalle for dinner and dancing well into the wee hours of the morning.

The food, music, guests, atmosphere, service and everything at the hall was amazing..we partied the night away and then made our way to the hotel for the night.

The next morning to drove up north to a wonderful Ski Resort called 'Le Chanteclair', we stayed in bed (mostly sleeping) trying to recuperate and relax. Now we're back home waiting for our flight on Thursday morning to Sandals Bahamas! Yay!

All in all it has been an amazing few days..more to come!

American actress Anne Bancroft dies in New York

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Oscar and Tony Award winner Anne Bancroft, the husky-voiced actress immortalized as Helen Keller's teacher in "The Miracle Worker" and the seductive Mrs. Robinson in the iconic 1967 film "The Graduate," has died, her family said on Tuesday. Bancroft, who was 73, died at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York on Monday evening of uterine cancer, according to John Barlow, a spokesman for Bancroft's husband, the comedian and director Mel Brooks. Tomfoolery on TV...News at 11

I came across this site tonight and it really cracks me up. These guys hunt down live newscasts around town and do anything to get in front of the camera. They seem to be media protesters...whatever the motivation it is REALLY funny. Seems the news teams aren't laughing and have tried to get these guys arrested more than once. Check it out. [More]

Choppers A Go-Go

Vroom Vroom

Today we happened to be driving around doing pre-wedding chores when I came across an ad on the road for a local Chopper Show for charity. I spun the car 180 and headed for the show, what blast! There were tons of amazing bikes, choppers, racers, one-of-a-kinds, even a couple of cars. Needless to say Kathy was less than excited hanging around motorcylces in a VERY hot parking lot with no shade. Nevertheless I had fun! Click on the chopper pic for a bunch more.
