Magnetix Rock!
Some of you may know I'm doing some freelance work for MegaBloks, you may or may not have heard of them, think of them as the Canadian born Lego alternative. I am specifically working on the 'Magnetix' brand of Megabloks toys, these are awesome assembly toys and action figures that uses powerful magnets. These toys are VERY fun to play with (trust me, it gets addictive!). This is an email I sent out to a select list of toy stores, gamers and other websites I found online. But I would also like to send this along to you, if for nothing more than to get you guys to check out the amazing site they setup, and perhaps get you or your little ones addicted to Magnetix!

The new site features a ton of interesting things to see and do, explore the line of Magnetix toys and action figures and be sure to play the Mag-Warriors game!

Hey Xoanon - I have to admit the Magnetix site looks pretty cool. Just the ticket to "perhaps get you or your little ones addicted to Magnetix!" as you suggest. And you obviously put a lot of great personal effort into it. But how can you not be aware that Magnetix toys were recalled this Spring because they were defective? Check it out at

How do you feel about contracting for MEGA Brands? Do you happen to know if changes have been made to the design of these magnetic toys to increase their safety compared to last year? If so, I wonder what the changes are?
I hope the toys don't have the same problem of (a) small swallowable parts that contain dangerous NIB magnets and (b) said dangerous NIB magnets falling out of the corners or ends of the various Magna*** or Magnetix pieces as kids play with them over time. As a parent myself I worry about companies that put profits over even one little person's life.
